Responsible Gambling – raa8 Malaysia 21+ Safe Play

Our Commitment

Gambling Should Always Be a Choice, Not a Compulsion

At raa8, responsible gambling is not a policy document that sits in a drawer — it is an active, ongoing commitment embedded into every layer of how we run our platform. We know that the vast majority of our Malaysian players enjoy live casino, slots, and sports betting on Liga Super Malaysia or EPL as a form of leisure. We want to keep it that way.

Problem gambling affects a small but real percentage of the population. The signs can be subtle at first — spending a little more than planned, chasing losses after a bad session, or finding it hard to stop when you intended to. Left unaddressed, these patterns can escalate quickly and cause serious harm to individuals and their families across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and beyond.

raa8 enforces a strict minimum age of 21 for all players. No exceptions. We verify age as part of our standard KYC process, and any account found to be held by a person under 21 will be closed immediately with funds returned to the originating payment method.

This page gives you a clear picture of what we do to protect players, what tools are at your disposal, and where to seek independent support if you need it. If you are worried about your gambling or that of someone close to you, please reach out — the resources listed on this page are confidential and many are free to use.

Mandatory 21+ Age Verification

All accounts are subject to KYC age verification. Underage gambling is illegal and raa8 takes zero-tolerance action on any verified case.

Player-Controlled Deposit Limits

Set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit caps in your Account Settings. Limits take effect immediately and cannot be increased for a minimum 24-hour cooling-off period.

Self-Exclusion — Leave When You Need To

Voluntarily lock yourself out of raa8 for 30, 90, or 180 days — or permanently. Self-exclusion is processed within 24 hours and marketing communications stop immediately.

Session Time Reminders

Configure alerts that notify you when you have been playing for a set period. A simple reminder to pause and reassess can make a meaningful difference over time.

Player Protection Tools

Six Ways raa8 Helps You Stay in Control

Every tool below is available free of charge from your raa8 Account Settings. You do not need to justify or explain yourself to use any of them.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum deposit amount per day, week or month — in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Once set, your limit cannot be raised for at least 24 hours. Lower limits, however, take effect immediately.

KEY TOOL

Self-Exclusion

Exclude yourself from raa8 for 30, 90, or 180 days — or permanently. During the exclusion period, your account is locked, all marketing stops, and you cannot override the exclusion until the period expires.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session length. When the timer expires, raa8 will display a prominent on-screen reminder and offer you the option to end your session. You can also set a cooling-off timer between sessions.

Activity & Spend History

View a full history of your deposits, withdrawals, wagers, and session durations in your Account dashboard. Seeing your actual spend in RM — not a running total obscured by chips — keeps reality front and centre.

COOLING OFF

Temporary Account Pause

Not ready to self-exclude but need a break? Use the account pause feature to suspend your account for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. No questions asked — it activates immediately from Account Settings.

Reality Check Notifications

Opt in to receive periodic on-screen notifications during play showing your session duration and net win/loss position. Staying informed in real time is one of the most effective responsible gambling practices available.

Step-by-Step Guide

How to Activate Responsible Gambling Tools

All responsible gambling controls are accessible directly from your raa8 account. No need to contact support — you can make changes yourself in under two minutes.

Navigate to Account Settings

Tap or click your account icon at the top right of the screen, then select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Select "Responsible Gambling"

Find the "Responsible Gambling" section within Account Settings. This is where all tools — deposit limits, session limits, pauses and self-exclusion — are managed.

Choose and Apply Your Tool

Select the relevant tool, enter the desired limit or exclusion period, and confirm. Restrictions take effect immediately. Limit increases require a 24-hour waiting period.

Need Assistance? Contact Support

If you cannot access Account Settings or need an urgent account suspension, contact our 24/7 support team via live chat. We will process any urgent restriction immediately — no waiting period for emergency account locks.

Self-Assessment

Signs That Gambling May Be Becoming a Problem

Honest self-reflection is powerful. If you recognise yourself in several of these situations, it may be time to use our tools or speak to a support professional.

You spend more time or money on gambling than you planned, and it happens regularly — not just occasionally.

You chase losses — returning to gamble specifically to try to win back money you have already lost.

Gambling is affecting your sleep, your work, your relationships, or your financial stability — even occasionally.

You feel irritable, anxious, or low when you are unable to gamble, or use gambling to escape stress or difficult emotions.

You have borrowed money, used savings, or delayed bills in order to fund gambling activity.

You conceal your gambling activity from family or friends, or downplay how much you spend or how often you play.

If several of these apply to you, please consider contacting one of the support resources below. Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Our Principles

raa8's Five Responsible Gambling Principles

1. Age — 21+ No Exceptions

Every account on raa8 is subject to mandatory age verification. We will not knowingly allow any person under the age of 21 to register, deposit, or play on the Platform. Period.

CORE

2. Entertainment, Not Income

raa8 is an entertainment platform. We never market gambling as a method of generating income or financial security. All gaming involves risk of loss, and we state this clearly in all our communications.

3. Transparency About Odds

raa8 publishes game RTP (Return to Player) figures and does not mislead players about the likelihood of winning. We believe informed players make better decisions.

4. Proactive Monitoring

Our platform monitors player behaviour for indicators of problem gambling — including unusual deposit velocity, extended session times, and repeated deposit-after-withdrawal patterns. We may proactively reach out to players showing concerning patterns.

ALWAYS ACTIVE

5. 24/7 Accessible Support

Our support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including all Malaysian public holidays. Any player who wants an immediate account lock or suspension can have it done in under 5 minutes via live chat.

6. Family & Third-Party Concerns

If you are concerned about a family member or friend who may have a gambling problem, please contact us at [email protected]. We take third-party concerns seriously and will investigate where we have sufficient grounds to act.

Play Responsibly at raa8

raa8 is for entertainment. Set your limits before you play, stick to your budget, and remember that every session should feel enjoyable — not stressful. All responsible gambling tools are free and accessible from your Account Settings right now.
